In your browser
Your OpenRouter key, your runs (transcripts, Jev’s answers, your edits and settings), the list of recent videos and any label sheets are kept in this browser’s local storage.
They stay until you press Forget key or clear this site’s data.
Sent to OpenRouter
When Jev reads a video, your browser sends the transcript, the video’s title, channel and description, and your optional goal straight to OpenRouter with your key.
OpenRouter passes the request to Jev, TypeSafe’s decision model, and bills your account. Their policies cover what happens there.
The bookmark
The Send to Jev-LAS bookmark runs on the YouTube tab. It asks YouTube for that video’s captions and hands them to the Jev-LAS tab it opens. Nothing passes through our server.
The browser extension
The extension keeps your OpenRouter key and its saved plans in its own storage, which YouTube pages cannot read. Its background worker alone sends each request to OpenRouter with your key.
The speed-up rate and the on or off switch sit in the browser’s sync storage, which follows your browser account when sync is on.
YouTube
Videos play in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed. YouTube’s own policy covers what it collects when a video plays, including anything it stores in your browser.
To show the title, channel and thumbnail, your browser asks YouTube for the video’s public details and image by its id.
Hosting
Vercel serves the site and keeps standard request logs, such as IP address and page, under its own privacy notice.
Share links
A share link carries the plan after the # sign, which browsers never send to a server. Anyone you give the link to can read the plan and the video id.
Cookies
Jev-LAS sets no cookies.

Changes are posted on this page with a new date.
